• Cnergreen creates a foam that withstands high pressures, temperatures, and salt levels. Their first application for it is during carbon dioxide-enhanced oil recovery (CO2 EOR). Oilfield operators inject CO2 to get more oil out of their wells. They're often limited by permeable or fractured rock. Any gaps let the CO2 leak through. Oil operators will be able to use the foam to plug cracks so the CO2 can’t escape. This science means more oil while trapping carbon dioxide in the ground.
